Generally not a sandwich person but this is what I think a perfect sandwich should be. Flavourful sausage patty with a fried egg that's not too runny. You got herbs and dressing with the right acidity and aioli, cheese and lettuce (the good kind). You wouldn't think carrot and celery fit into this but they totally do. I look forward to coming back to try other dishes

I discovered this place only recently; it is not on the main street of Newtown but very close by. It is very near to Carriage work. The food was fresh, delicious and had its personality. I loved the combination of green apple and pickled ginger, which was great on a classic avocado toast. The ricotta meatballs my friend were great too. Next table loved the handmade gnocchi, I will try this next time I go there.

This corner cafe in Newtown (ard 15 mins walk from home) is very popular esp on weekend, and I think we know why. Their food is essentially sandwich and toast, but the portion is outrageously generous, served very hot and fresh. Their scrambled egg is just enormous (maybe 4-5 eggs?) smooth and fluffy. Their signature artichoke sandwich featuring their housemade sauce which is sweet, acidic and savory at the same time, is scrumptious. Not to mention the beautiful crispy and fluffy focaccia as bun. At the beginning, we were like we won’t be able to finish all the food, and then we finish all the food. On our second visit, we sat outdoor under the warm sun, it’s so nice! Something I’ll prob never do in HK 😂

Fantastic staff, great atmosphere and absolutely delicious food. The gnocchi was phenomenal, and lychee frappe was delicious. And it’s an excellent spot to study on a weekday.

“I got to know this place a year ago and left a review as my favorite cafe in Sydney. I love the 'Gnocchi’ menu here, so I ordered it and ate it every time I visited here. I think the atmosphere and food of this cafe are the best, so I recommend this cafe to people around me, but today I am disappointed. The food was burnt badly so I could barely eat it.

Lovely local cafe, just a block away from the main street in Newtown, but has a completely calm vibe. Great food, good coffee and indoor and outdoor tables. Plenty of vegan options and takeaway pastries as well. 🚲 Directly on the Wilson St bike route, so it's an easy stop.

Hands down some of the best focaccia I've ever eaten (which is from Infinity Bakery) which they use for their sandwiches. It's thick but so soft. The thick cut ham was delicious as was the deep fried artichoke sandwich. Both had incredible housemade chutneys and mustards. The granola was also great but we'll be going back just for the sandwiches again!

Pleasant cafe at the corner of the street in New Town. I tried the freshly baked bread with caramelised onion and olives. The fennel seed seasoning made it so flavourful! Great oat mocha too. happy! Friendly customer service :)
